Abel Beth Maacah Stone, Israel 300 BCE

(January 16, 2025) This runestone was probably put up early in the Hellenistic empire period because its letter style is half-way between Aegean Island (500 BCE) and the Rosetta Stone (200 BCE). This stone is a debate between an Israelite who is devoted to the life powers and a Phoenician who is instead devoted to the magical motion/emotion powers.

Comment:  Their letter assignments are wrong and even inconsistent. Many letters are simply ignored so they can force fit a few Greek words into the text in random locations. They get around this by assuming the author is ignorant and making writing errors.
