Punic Cirta Runestone Promotes the Replacement of Astrology-Magic With Emotion Magic 200 BCE

(March 25, 2025)  This Punic runestone is numbered AO 1012.

The image is of the celestial light goddess Selu/Selene as indicated by her upraised arms. This indicates the text will  discus astrological fate powers which it does. The text is promoting the replacement of astrology-magic with emotion magic except when emotion magic is weak.

The text reads:

  1. Are not the emotion-powers (Awen) being fate-revealed.  Are not the shepherd-priests (do astrology magic) of Yahu's emotion-owls being revealed. The dawn will nourish the judgment. Replace astrology-magic.
  2. Considerations (focused emotion of emotion magic) can shepherd the Moon-Eye (Su). Replace astrology-magic.  Alu will grind that.
  3. Filter astrology-magic.  Considerations can lack emotional-affects.  Nesting (of the magics) will result in the pasture (starry night sky of fate).
  4. Lack of prodding (from the magics) will involve controlling the offerings to them.
